Organisational structure

The Amsterdam University of the Arts has an organisational structure appropriate to the special and unique qualities of the different faculties. This is partly due to the different nature of the artistic and cultural disciplines in which they provide training and the consequences of that for the organisation of the teaching, and partly due to the fact that each of them has a very different background from the others. Since the faculties relate in first instance to the students, graduates, tutors and professional practice, there is a strong bond between these groups and the teaching organisation, which can react with alertness to new developments.
